General conditions

Travel contract and responsibility
The contract following this program is regulated by law no. 1084 (12/27/1977) which ratifies and enacts the International Convention dealing with Travel Contracts (CCV) signed in Brussels
04/23/1970. Responsibility for the organisation of a journey cannot in any case exceed the limits stated under the law cited.

Reservation
The acceptance of reservations by the organizer dependents upon availability of the service and is to be considered definite after the confirmation by the organizer.

Payments
When a booking is made, a 30% advance of the total price must be paid. The remaining amount is due 30 days before departure. If reservations are made less than 30 days before departure, the total amount of the service has to be paid after confirmation.

Hotel:
For stays superior or equal at 7 nights= 9 Euro for each reservation
For stays from 6 to 3 nights= 12 Euro for each reservation
For stays from 1 to 2 nights= 19 Euro for each reservation

Residence/Apartment:
For all stays = 25 Euro for each reservation

Car rental:
For rentals equal or superior of 8 days= 7 Euro for booking fee
For rentals between 4 and 7 days= 9 Euro for booking fee
For rentals between 1 and 3 days= 11 Euro for booking fee

For all other Products and Services not mentioned here:
15 Euro each reservation

Prices
Prices are calculated with reference to exchange rates, carrier charges and costs of services at the time publication. However, prices may change at any time due to variations on exchange rates, carrier charges and tourist services. If the increase of the totel price is more than 10%, the participant can withdraw from the contract. A written notice to the organizer must be given within 48 hours after receipt of the communication relaiting to the increase.

Cancellation
If the participant should cancel, he will be entiteled to a refund of the amount of money already paid, minus penalties (as indicated below) and the expenses and charges met in order to cancel the service.

Cancellation of land-services
For every cancellation the agency does not require compensation if it was made 30 days before the arrival of the client. If there are less than 30 days until arrival date, the penalty is 10% of the total price plus the fee required by the suppliers of land services.

Car rental cancellation
If the cancellation is communicated to Il Planisfero more than 30 days before pick up, no penalty will be applied. If the cancellation is communicated to Il Planisfero less than 30 days before pick up, 10% of the total amount will be required as penalty + booking fee, + extra charges required by Avis in case of rental of groups M, I, L, K.

Acts of superior powers
Strikes, cancellations due to adverse weather conditions, wars, civil and military disorders,riots, natural calamities, pillaging, terrorist activities, all these and other similar events are considered to be acts of superior powers. Disadvantages cause by these events are not the responsibility of neither the carriers nor the organizer. Any further expenses generated therefore are not refundable. There will be no refund for any services which did not take place because of these events or which were missed. Moreover the organizer is not responsible for non-utilized services due to delays or cancellations of air, sea and land carriers.

Cancellation of the journey by the organizer
The organizer can cancel the contract at any time (law no. 1084 dated 12/27/1977 dealing with the international agreements for travel contracts) without further obligation than refunding the amount already paid. The organizer can also cancel the contract without having to pay a penalty if the minimum number of participants indicated in the program has not been reached. A notice to the customer must be given at least 15 days before the date of departure.

Responsibility of the carriers
Carriers are responsible for passengers only while on board as stated in conformaty with the carriers own conditions of transport. The organizer is responsible for the published programs. The carriers therefore cannot be held responsible for terms and conditions of these programs while employed during the journey.

Competent law court
For any controversy, the Civil Court of Cagliari will be competent. Cagliari is the legal seat of Il Planisfero Viaggi e Vacanze srl.
